Intro to Hotglue
Hotglue is a web based app that allows you to create websites based purely on design, within the web browser. Once you sign up to Hotglue you get a black page in the browser and you can drag create text boxes, upload images, embed videos and so on, straight into the page! This means that when you exit editting mode the web page will be exactly how you designed it to be. An advantage to doing it this way is that it is very quick and easy, however it does have its limitations.

This is the first site that i created using Hotglue. I started off with just a blank page until I uploaded the background image. The football is repeated because the image was so small in comparrison to the page size, Hotglue does this by default. The video was taken from YouTube as Hotglue will only let you embed YouTube and Vimeo videos. The two images I took from google and and placed one above the other and turned down the opacity. The title is just text over a holder. During this session I learnt a lot about Hotglue's restrictions such as limited fonts and text types, the fact that Hotglue has no undo button is a pain as well because if you do something you dont like or accidently delete an element you have to do it again.
There are many pros and cons to Hotglue and in this section i will talk about my personal experience with Hotglue. For what it is designed to do Hotglue does a very good job, However. it doesn't have a very professional finish. I found Hotglue quick and easy for making a website, until it came to text, I had trouble finding a font that i like because they are so limited. Hotglue has a colour wheel so you have a massive choice but because it's done like this it becomes hard to pick the same colour again. Overall i found Hotglue useful but very simple and basic.
